The Team

SFI – Sport & Future Initiatives is a small, senior team with complementary experience across sport, business, and strategic coordination.

Working closely together, the team supports projects and partners with discretion, drawing on years of experience and long-established networks to help situations move forward constructively.

Colin Hale

Founder & CEO

Colin Hale is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor with decades of experience navigating some of the most complex and high-stakes disputes in the construction industry. Alongside his professional career, he has maintained a lifelong commitment to football and to supporting the people behind the game.

Colin is Chairman of the QPR No.10 Foundation and has played a pivotal role in initiatives supporting former players and promoting wellbeing within the football community. He was instrumental in organising a 2017 benefit match for QPR legend Stan Bowles, raising over £100,000 to support his care following an Alzheimer's diagnosis, and has long been involved in testimonial events and philanthropic efforts across the sport.

His work behind the scenes reflects a belief in sport as a platform for connection and contribution. From being the brainchild behind Jamaica's historic first UK international match in 1998 to supporting players and partners through periods of transition, Colin has built a reputation for discretion, integrity, and getting things done.

Colin founded SFI – Sport & Future Initiatives to bring together his financial expertise, trusted relationships, and personal commitment to helping people navigate what comes next — particularly in the often-complex period following a professional sporting career.

Terence Parris

COO, Strategy & Brand

Terence Parris is a global brand and sports marketing strategist with nearly 30 years' experience working at the intersection of sport, culture, and commercial strategy.

He first collaborated with Colin Hale in 1998, helping bring the Jamaican national football team to the UK for their historic first UK match — a landmark moment that marked the beginning of a long-standing professional partnership and friendship.

Terence went on to hold senior roles at PUMA, where he played a key role in the brand's revival through major global campaigns, including the 2006 World Cup and the integration of Usain Bolt and Jamaica into global brand campaigns. He later joined Apple, leading European buzz marketing during the early launch phase of the iPod and the first iPhone in Europe.

As a consultant, Terence has advised elite clubs, federations, and global brands on positioning, inclusion, and cultural relevance, including work with AC Milan, the Italian Football Federation, and a range of media and cultural platforms.

At SFI – Sport & Future Initiatives, Terence brings strategic insight, cultural intelligence, and long-term perspective, helping shape projects and partnerships with care, credibility, and a strong sense of purpose.

Soraya Marr

Communications & Project Support

Soraya Marr provides communications and project support across SFI, working closely with the team to support messaging, coordination, and the smooth progression of projects.

Her role spans written communications, research, and day-to-day project support, helping ensure clarity, consistency, and follow-through across SFI's work. She brings a strong editorial eye and a calm, organised approach to complex or sensitive situations.

Soraya works largely behind the scenes, supporting the team's priorities and helping maintain the discretion and care that underpin SFI's approach.

Conversations often lead in unexpected directions.
